Historically, Thayer Coggin has been lauded for its original modern designs. Milo Baughman created and defined them as “classic modern.” The marketplace has typically referred to these designs as “midcentury modern.” The majority of Baughman's most iconic designs were created in the decades of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. We have re-issued over 45 of these groundbreaking designs – revered and highly respected for their elements of shape, scale, proportion and beauty. The ultimate testimony of the intrinsic value of a Milo Baughman design for Thayer Coggin is the often-staggering price paid for vintage pieces in the marketplace.
